Angular cheilitis

noun
A condition characterized by chelitis, dry scaling, and cracking of the lips as well as cracking at the labial commissure (the corner of the mouth) often bilaterally (on both sides).
Supplement
Angular chelitis may occur from fungal infection (e.g. Candida albicans) or vitamin B deficiency. When the mouth is widely opened lesions may result at the corner of the mouth.
