Biological Control

Years of biological study have allowed us to assess the damage of controlling certain factors in the environment. Pesticides are used to increase crop Yield while at the same time destroying ‘pests’ that prove competitive or harmful to the crop. This ‘advantage’ derives from controlling the natural environment, and is used to our advantage or for the overall benefit of an ecosystem (e.g. removing a foreign species from an ecosystem).
