Bunyaviridae

Bunyaviridae
(Science: molecular biology, virology) a family of arboviruses composed of more than 200 viruses, including the genera: bunyavirus, hantavirus, phlebovirus, nairovirus, uukuvirus. These single-stranded rna enveloped viruses are spherical or oval and measure 90-100nm in diameter and are all sensitive to lipid solvents and detergents.
They infect vertebrates and arthropods and some genera contain organisms causing serious disease for example viral haemorrhagic fever.
