(1) Plastic surgery of the medial and/or lateral canthus.
(2) The surgical restoration of the medial and/or lateral canthus.
(3) The surgical formation of a new canthus, especially one destroyed by injury or disease.
Supplement
Canthoplasty can be applied to improve sagging brows and eyelids. A form of canthoplasty involving the lengthening of the palpebral fissure by surgically cutting through the external canthus is called the cantholysis.
