An immunoassay used predominantly but not exclusively as a method for screening urine and blood for drugs.
Supplement
The test uses antibodies that are capable of reacting only with a particular drug on a sample (blood or urine) being tested. However, the test does not quantify the amounts of the drug present, only to detect its presence or absence.
