Exarticulate

Exarticulate is a term in entomology that describes certain insects having one joint. In medical terminology, it may pertain to the act of amputating the limb through a joint, not through a bone. The process of separating two bones at their joint is called exarticulation (also called disarticulation). Aside from surgical means, it may also pertain to that caused by an injury.
