The anterior limb, or similar appendage on certain animals, e.g. wing, flipper, fin, leg, etc.
Supplement
In horses, the thoracic limb is their forelimb. In some quadrupeds, the front limb is the forelimb, although the term foreleg is more often used.
Word origin: Middle English for-, fore-, from Old English, from fore (in front) + limb.
