Glass body –>
demilune body
a circular body of extreme transparency except for a crescentic punctate substance on one edge which contains haemoglobin. The body is much larger than a red blood cell, but is thought possibly to be a degenerated red blood cell swollen by imbibition; it has been found in malaria and in convalescence from typhoid fever; the transparent portion is called the glass body.
