(1) (botany) Curled, spiraled, or rolled inwards, such as an involute leaf where margins are rolled over the adaxial surface towards the midrib.
(2) (zoology) (of gastropod and cephalopod shells) Having tight coils (with last whorl nearly covering all the other whorls) and narrow umbilicus.
verb
(1) To roll, curve, or curl inward.
(2) To return to normal state (e.g. anatomically or physiologically)
