Labor definition

Labor is a phase in the act of giving birth, especially that phase prior to delivery. The process of childbirth is comprised of two main phases: labor and delivery. In humans, the signs of labor typically entails crampy abdominal pain that may extend to the back. The cramping could last about half a minute but recur at closer, diminishing intervals and with pain increasing in strength. Variant: labour.
