Legal test

Legal test is a test in which sodium hydroxide, sodium nitroprusside, and hydrochloric acid are used to determine acetonuria. Acetnonuria, as the name implies, refers to the presence of acetone in the urine. It is a form of ketonuria. The test can detect acetone in the urine and was devised by the German physician Emmo Legal (1859-1922).
