Skin stones

Calcium deposits under or within the skin, usually as a sequelae of a preexisting inflammatory, degenerative, or neoplastic dermatosis.
The calcium salts consists largely of hydroxyapatite crystals or amorphous calcium phosphate.
The formation of skin stones is one of the clinical features of patients suffering from scleroderma, usually forming in under the skin on the fingers or other areas of the body.
