A graphical representation depicting the intensity of an electrical stimulus in relation to the duration (time) needed to stimulate excitable tissue
Supplement
The strength-duration curve pertains to the graph showing a curved line to demonstrate the strength of a threshold stimulus with respect to the length of stimulation time. Accordingly, the length of stimulation time increases as the intensity of stimulation decreases.
The graph also defines the points at which rheobase and chronaxie can be determined.
