Thylakoid

Thylakoid
(Science: plant biology) membranous cisternae of the chloroplast, found as part of the grana and also as single cisternae interconnecting the grana. Contains the photosynthetic pigments, reaction centres and <a href="https://www.biologyonline.com/dictionary/electron-Transport“>chain. Each thylakoid consists of a flattened sac of membrane enclosing a narrow intra thylakoid space.
