(Science: radiobiology) In the shape of a torus, or doughnut. Or: coordinate indicating which part of the torus a particle is in. (azimuthal coordinate, toroidal angle, etc.) Or: general term referring to toruses as opposed to other geometries. (for example, tokamaks and stellarators are examples of toroidal devices.)
