Aggressin

Aggressin
(Science: protein) a term for a protein produced by a pathogenic microbe which aids its spread in the host by inhibiting the immune system of the host (specifically the response by phagocytes).
Any substance, produced in the body by a pathogenic bacterium, that enhances the virulence of the bacteria by paralyzing the host defensive mechanisms (as the red blood cells) and held to be produced by the bacteria in the body of the host.
