The forearm, i.e. the part of the arm between the elbow and the wrist.
Supplement
The term is used in anatomy to identify it from the brachium (or the upper arm).
Word origin: from Latin, prefixal form of prep. and adv. ante-, meaning “before” + brāc(c)hium, meaning the arm.
