Complete penetrance

A form of penetrance where a deleterious or disease-causing gene is expressed in all individuals carrying the gene.
A disease-causing gene shows 100% or complete penetrance if all individuals who have this gene develop the associated trait or condition. Huntington’s disease is a dementia that is genetically inherited as an autosomaldominant trait with a complete lifetime penetrance.
