Definition
noun, plural: dimerizations
(1) The chemical reaction that joins two molecular subunits, resulting in the formation of a single dimer.
(2) The process or act of forming a dimer.

Dimerization may be heterodimerization or homodimerization depending on the nature of the subunits joined together.
