Schizogony

An asexual type of reproductive process by protozoans by multiple fission.
Supplement
In protozoa, a trophozoite increases in cell size while the nucleus, together with other organelles, divides repeatedly. The organism in that condition is referred to as schizont. The schizont ruptures eventually releasing merozoites.
