Alveolar duct

Alveolar duct
The part of the respiratory passages distal to the respiratory bronchiole; from it arise alveolar sacs and alveoli, the smallest of the intralobular ducts in the mammary gland, into which the secretory alveoli open.
Synonym: ductulus alveolaris.
